Anna An was born in Moscow and was already interested in music as a child. At the age 4 she started to play piano, which she studied formally first in music school in the class of Vera Talygina and later at Alfred Schnittke music college under Natalya Gorlinskaya. Parallel to her piano studies, Anna An also studied at the Academic College of Music at the Moscow state Conservatory “P.I. Tchaikovsky” in the vocal class of Xenia Tichonova.

The parallel study continued at Gnesins Academy where Anna graduated in piano performance from the class of Valentina Zvereva while her vocal education continued with Galina Oleinichenko. During this period of study she became a laureate of many festivals and competitions including the third prize at the concertmaster competition in the Ukraine.

Anna has concertized in numerous halls in Moscow including the Schalyapins Museum, the Museum and Workshop of A. Golubkina, the Hall on the Povarskaya, the Rachmaninovskiji Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Facilities for the diplomatic corps of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Emanuel Vitorgan cultural center, and the International Moscow Hall of Music.

During her studies Anna worked as a music instructor at the Music school in Khimki as well as teaching piano privately.

In 2015 Anna has finished her education as a Master’s Degree candidate in vocal performance at the Conservatory of Music Privat University under Birgid Steinberger, Angelika Kirschlager and Carolyn Hague in Vienna, Austria.

Like a pianist she was working with Peter Edelmann, interpretation she was doing with Anna Sushon, Alexander Kaimbacher and Carolyn Hague, played in acting workshops with Leonard Prinsloo.

As accompanist Anna has participated in the production of New Oper Vienna, EntArte Opera Festival, Luba Welitsch Singing Competition.

Seit 2011 Anna works and lives in Vienna as chamber pianist and accomponist of Vocal recitals , Competitions and Opera Projects.
