DANIEL STRAHILEVITZ

COACH, ASSISTANT CONDUCTOR

Versatile musician, Daniel Strahilevitz has been performing piano recitals, Piano duo, Liederabend and chamber music concerts around the world, in countries such as Sweden, Denmark, Scotland, England, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Israel, South-Africa and Japan.

Daniel has appeared in master classes with renowned artists including Andras Schiff, Menahem Pressler, Robert Levin amongst others. In addition, he recorded for the "Voice of Music" Radio channel in Jerusalem, and was chosen by Lang Lang to play at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival

Opera coach and Lied pianist, Daniel is the assistant of David Ahronson (Ehem. Solorepetitor and kappelmeister of the Vienna Staatsoper), and has been the official repetitor of the Leistung und Performance Vocal Academy and Vienna-Tel Aviv Vocal Connection Opera workshop.

Daniel won the 1st prize of the Stuttgart piano competition (2015), he is the recent finalist of the Aviv (2016) piano competition, and has won the Composers Forum prize for best performance of a contemporary music piece at Hanns Eisler Hochule für Musik, 2015.

He is also recipient prizes and awards from the South-African Music Rights Organisation, the American-Israel Cultural Foundation. Daniel has a postgraduate degree from the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik in Berlin.
